ArchitectureSpeciality

asp Architekten is a German architecture and urban planning practice with offices in Stuttgart and Berlin. Working across architecture, urban planning and transformation processes, the interdisciplinary team develops future-oriented spaces with a strong focus on functionality, identity and sustainability.

Sports architecture is one of asp’s core areas of expertise. The practice develops stadiums, sports facilities and multifunctional arenas, combining architectural design with the complex operational, commercial and experiential requirements of modern sports venues.

A particular focus lies on the transformation and modernisation of existing buildings. Through intelligent reuse, circular construction principles and adaptable design, asp demonstrates how established venues can evolve to meet new sporting, commercial and environmental requirements.

Our expertise

asp Architekten combines decades of experience in sports architecture with an integrated approach to stadium development, modernisation and interior design.

The practice supports venues in adapting existing infrastructure to changing requirements, from spectator areas, hospitality and media facilities to multifunctional spaces and complete grandstand redevelopment. Particular attention is given to creating venues that deliver memorable experiences while remaining functional, flexible and economically sustainable beyond matchdays.

Sustainable construction and the responsible transformation of existing buildings play a central role in asp’s approach, helping stadium owners extend the life of their venues while reducing the environmental impact of redevelopment.
