30 Years of ESSMA: A New Look for the Next Chapter

ESSMA celebrates its 30th anniversary with the launch of a new visual identity, a new logo and a completely renewed website. Three milestones that reflect both where the organisation comes from and where it wants to go next.

30 Years of ESSMA: A New Look for the Next Chapter

For three decades, ESSMA has been bringing together the people behind Europe’s stadiums, clubs, leagues and federations. What started 30 years ago as an initiative to exchange knowledge and experiences has grown into a European network connecting more than 300 stadium and club members, alongside leagues, federations and industry partners.

Today, that network enters a new chapter.

To mark its 30th anniversary, ESSMA is introducing a refreshed visual identity and a new logo, together with the launch of a completely renewed website. The changes go beyond a new look. They reflect the evolution of ESSMA and its ambition to continue strengthening its position as the European knowledge and networking platform for the stadium industry.

“Thirty years is an important milestone for ESSMA. During that time, our industry has changed enormously, and ESSMA has evolved alongside it. What has never changed is our purpose: bringing people together, sharing knowledge and helping our members learn from each other. Our new identity represents that continuity, while giving us a fresh and ambitious look for the years ahead.”

Ludwig Sneyers, Managing Director, ESSMA

30 years of bringing the stadium industry together

Since its foundation, ESSMA has developed around a simple principle: stadium professionals can achieve more when they share their experiences, challenges and solutions.

Over the years, this philosophy has developed into an international community covering every aspect of modern stadium management. Through events, business intelligence and community building, ESSMA connects professionals working in stadium development, pitch management, operations and ticketing, fan engagement and hospitality, safety and security, and sustainability and social impact.

For ESSMA President Francesco Gianello, the anniversary is therefore as much about the community as it is about the organisation itself.

“ESSMA’s strength has always been its members. The willingness of clubs, stadiums, leagues and federations to open their doors and share their knowledge is what makes this network unique. As we celebrate 30 years, we can be proud of what has been built together, but we should also look forward. Stadiums are changing rapidly, and ESSMA has an important role to play in helping our industry navigate that future.”

Francesco Gianello, President, ESSMA

A new identity for a growing community

The new ESSMA logo and visual identity have been designed to reflect a more modern, dynamic and connected organisation, while remaining recognisable to the community that has helped shape ESSMA over the past three decades.

Alongside the new identity comes a completely redesigned website. The new platform puts the ESSMA community at its centre and makes it easier for members, partners and industry professionals to discover upcoming events, access knowledge, explore ESSMA’s areas of expertise and follow developments from across the European stadium industry.

The website will also provide a stronger platform to showcase the expertise, projects and best practices of ESSMA members and partners.

“Our new website and identity should reflect what ESSMA is today: an active European community that is constantly exchanging ideas, visiting venues and sharing expertise. We wanted to create a platform and visual identity that feel contemporary, accessible and distinctly ESSMA, while giving us much more room to showcase the knowledge and stories within our network.”

Thibault Schruers, Corporate Partnerships & Communication Manager, ESSMA

The next chapter starts here

Thirty years of ESSMA represents thousands of connections made, best practices exchanged, stadiums visited and ideas shared across borders.

The new website and visual identity celebrate that history, but above all mark the beginning of what comes next.

As stadiums become increasingly connected, multifunctional and sustainable, the challenges facing the industry continue to evolve. ESSMA’s ambition remains clear: to bring the right people together, facilitate meaningful knowledge exchange and support its community in shaping the stadiums and venues of tomorrow.

30 years of knowledge. 30 years of connections. 30 years of ESSMA.

And we are only getting started.
