ESSMA publishes its first Stadium Development Report

We’re happy to announce that ESSMA has published its first Stadium Development Report. Like mentioned during the ESSMA Summit in Lyon, we want to provide our members with quarterly structural updates on stadium projects across Europe.

In this first issue, we give an overview of the six UEFA stadium development phases and link it with the projects in the ESSMA Stadium In Construction database. We briefly discuss latest stadium projects and focus on three projects in the picture: New Feyenoord Stadium, Stadium Kantrida and Generali Arena.

The report provides an overview of the potential impact of stadium development on the housing market, job creation and the local economy. Future trends in stadium development are discussed with the architects partnered with ESSMA and the training centers of ASM Clermont and FC Bayern Munich got special attention.

This first issue – and the start of a structural quarterly report for ESSMA members – is a more general overview, whereas next editions will include more specific projects, interviews and in-depth cases.
The second edition of the Stadium Development Report, planned for the end of June, will focus on eastern European projects and trends in terms of topography.
