ESSMA, the European platform for stadium management, is recruiting a Communications Manager

ESSMA, the European Stadium & Safety Management Association, has a unique opportunity for a Communications Manager to join a fast-growing and exciting organisation in the stadium industry.   Our members are representatives of football and rugby leagues, federations, clubs, stadiums and other key stakeholders within the industry. With ESSMA Members including PSG, LaLiga, Arsenal FC, Allianz Arena Munich, Juventus FC, and Johan Cruijff ArenA you are guaranteed to work in an international and exciting environment. ESSMA's mission is to maximise stadium revenues and streamline operational excellence for all ESSMA Members, by sharing knowledge & expertise and providing inspiration through workshops, tours and our flagship annual ESSMA Summit.

In this key role as Communications Manager you will be actively involved in various projects. You translate the research and content into appealing articles and reports, with a strong member focus. As a Communications Manager, you ensure that our communication is relevant to our members, based on a strong content plan and communication.

You will get an attractive working environment in our head office, located at Stayen, home to Belgian football club STVV (Sint-Truiden, Belgium). Partial remote work is possible. Our supportive and flexible work culture helps you succeed in your work. Within this role, you will be travelling regularly and be in touch with ESSMA Members and our stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role you should be an expert in communication, able to work independently and have a positive mindset. We expect you to have excellent writing skills and a broad skillset, able to serve as a strong writer and editor, handle varied graphic design tasks, manage website content, and balance a busy calendar of competing tasks and projects. You dare to question the prevailing practices and enjoy yourself in performance situations. You do not scare tight schedules and pressure as you are able to prioritise your work.

 

We are an international company, so excellent English language skills in writing, speaking and performing are an essential precondition for this role. Other requirements are a suitable degree and at least two years of experience of challenging communication tasks.
