On January 17th, during the ESSMA Summit in Lyon, ESSMA President John Beattie announced the bid winner for the 2018 edition: Aviva Stadium. Ireland’s national stadium is located near the city centre of Dublin with a capacity of 51,700 seats. The stadium opened its doors on 14th May 2010 and is an outstanding venue for football, rugby, concerts and conference business.
Aviva Stadium’s vision is to be an iconic model of excellence in its operation and customer experience and will be a perfect successor for Parc Olympique Lyonnais to host the upcoming edition of the ESSMA Summit. An extended tour of the various event spaces showed us that the stadium is able to host all kinds of events.
About the ESSMA Summit
The ESSMA Summit is the must-attend stadium industry event. It is a great opportunity to broaden your network in the stadium industry and offers participants a unique setting to link-up with European colleagues to learn and share ideas and qualitative content. In 2017, we hosted 350 delegates from around the world in Parc Olympique Lyonnais (Lyon, France). We bring together all our members and the global stadium, arena and major sports venue industry. The next edition will take place in Aviva Stadium, Dublin, from 16 to 18 January 2018.
