Plans are underway to introduce rail/barrier seating in sections of the South Stand at Ashton Gate Stadium from the 2020/21 season. The club recognises that a number of supporters wish to stand at games and the dedicated rail/barrier area proposed in blocks S25, S26 and S27 aims to enhance the matchday experience, while ensuring fans’ safety is paramount at all times.

Millwall FC reveal their plan to redevelop The Den. The proposals (under development) include a strategy for phased expansion of the existing stadium, up to a total maximum capacity of 34,000 seats, built as additional upper tiers behind the existing seating bowl. This will not only provide the facilities needed to meet Premier League requirements – such as additional media and player accommodation – but also in time will provide enhanced facilities for fans to transform their matchday experience.

In 2018, AZ Alkmaar exchanged fungicides for preventive treatments against grass fungi with UV-C light from ESSMA Corporate Partner SGL. Since then the AFAS Stadium pitch has been completely fungicide and fungal free.
