How Liverpool FC Is Using Data to Reinvent the Fan Experience at Anfield

At the ESSMA Summit, Liverpool FC’s David Paul shared how the club has undergone a digital transformation at one of football’s most historic stadiums. Through a strategic partnership with Extreme Networks and a complete rethinking of the stadium’s digital backbone, Liverpool has rebuilt its matchday environment. More than 1,100 access points now support real-time insights on crowd movement, retail flow, safety, and partner engagement. Mobile ticketing is fully established, and fans can now access personalised experiences through the club’s new unified ecosystem, AllRed.

This transformation allows Liverpool to deliver smoother matchdays, targeted activations and more engaging digital journeys — all while preparing Anfield for the next wave of innovation, from AI-driven personalisation to frictionless retail.
